Ekta Kapoor’s highly talked about and anticipated magnum opus historical drama Jodha Akbar for Zee TV is said to have wrapped up its first schedule of shoot in Jaipur. Next the team is to shoot for an extensive schedule in Karjat.
It is pretty clear that the show is all set to get launched and this has apparently made one think what time slot the mega show will occupy. If go by the insiders, Zee TV, which has already tasted super-success placing Contiloe Telefilms’ historical Jhansi Ki Rani at the 8 PM slot, is willing to repeat the same with Jodha Akbar too. The channel is willing to re-create the same magic by slotting Jodha Akbar at the same slot.
As per sources, producer Ekta Kapoor will be on a break from work in the month of May (2013) as she is enrolling herself for a summer entrepreneur course at Harvard University, USA. Ekta will return back in June, and the launch of Jodha Akbar will take place then.
Now if Jodha Akbar takes the 8pm slot then it will shut the door for Rab Se Sohna Isshq, produced by Jay Productions. Rab Se…starring Ashish Sharma, Kanan Malhotra and Ekta Kaul was recently reported to be taking a leap and is presently being aired at the 8pm slot. Coming of Jodha Akbar will either bring the show to a logical end or it might undergo a time slot change.
