Zee TV, which holds the credit of establishing TV as entertainment in India is soon to come up with a differentiated program in concern with fiction.
Inspired by the success of the show Punar Vivah, based on the quite less accepted fact of re-marriage, the channel is willing to make the show a brand produce many new and fresh stories keeping the brand value of Punar Vivah in mind.
As per a reliable source from the industry, Zee TV and the makers of Punar Vivah, Shashi-Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt. Ltd are currently working on a new story under the Punar Vivah brand name owing to the show’s success, relevance in contemporary times and connect with viewers. However, the new show won’t be titled as a Season 2 nor will it have anything to do with the ongoing story line of Punar Vivah which has Gurmeet Choudhary and Kratika Sengar as leads.
Sources say that current leads of the show, Gurmeet and Kratika will not be part of the new show. The project is in its full swing and the channel is looking to cast few big names as part of the lead cast. Bujzz states that Star Plus’ Bidaai fame jodi Sara Khan and Angad Hasija have auditioned for the same.
