Not everyone know the fact that Sreejita De was the first choice of Colors’ Uttaran makers (Pintoo Guha-Rupali Guha) for Ichcha’s (Tina Dutta)
character when they were busy finalizing the star-cast, but due to
certain unforeseen circumstances she couldn’t sign for the important
role and was made to live in a state of gloomy.
But like it says everything happens for good reason, Sreejita De found her happiness back when she was approached by the same show to play equally important character, after three years gap, in form of Tapasya’s (Rashmi Desai Sandhu) daughter Mukta. She has bagged the lead role in the show post the leap.
An elated Sreejita accepted the new challenge and says, “I was excited when I was offered the role of Mukta in the post leap story. God gave me back the happiness that I was earlier deprived of. Life is exciting, and I like every second of it.”
On personal front, Sreejita is single in life, but feels she has a long way to go before getting hooked. “I am enjoying life as it is, and feel blessed. Yes, I would surely want a guy opposite Mukta in Uttaran (smiles). I miss the good old days when I used to share screen space with best buddies, Saurabh Raj Jain and Gaurav S Bajaj when the leap of Uttaran took place.”
