Mandira Bedi to dress more formally for Indian Idol Junior!

She has the credit of making the noodle-strapped, halter, backless and low-cut blouses a rage a decade ago. And the lady has donned them all gracefully in every screen appearance of hers. However, latest buzz states that for her role as an anchor on kids' singing reality show Indian Idol Junior, Mandira Bedi is ready to put on "lots of clothes".

"The dress code is 'lots of clothes'," said Mandira, who glamorized the age-old sari and blouse concept as host of Extraa Innings during the 2003 cricket World Cup. She added, "It will be more clothes than you've ever seen me in before."

Mandira, mother of a two-year-old boy, was seen in casual wear for the audition rounds. "Jeans, harem pants and jump-suits," she said, adding that for the theatre rounds, it may be "formal by one notch". However, for the gala rounds, which will see some of the top contenders, she will have to give in to "a little bit of formality".

As known she is co-hosting the show with Karan Wahi. In her decade old career, one has seen Mandira hosting various reality shows, and live events; but this is the first time she has taken on a show involving children. She confessed that she can’t baby talk children, but says when one is working around children, "you have to simplify things a little bit". "You can't be complicated with them. There's a certain language you'd use with them," she added.

Wish you good luck!
