Buzz has that the makers of Bigg Boss have approached Mithun Chakraborty to host the Bengali version of the reality show. Just a few days back, they had signed Riteish Deshmukh for the Marathi version. When source got in touch with Mithun, he confirmed that he has had a meeting with Endemol, the producers of the show. However, he is yet to finalize the deal. "This is true that we have been in talks about hosting the Bengali Bigg Boss. They had called even today. I will give my final answer on Monday,” said Mithun.
According to sources, the only hitch in the deal is Mithun's remuneration, which is still being negotiated. Considering that the makers have contacted Mithun after talks with Sourav Ganguly failed, they might agree to Mithun's demand.
“The producers of Bigg Boss are known to shell out big money for the show. Even this time it will be the most expensive reality show on regional television," the source said adding: "If the deal is signed, Mithun will easily become one of the highest paid anchors on regional television. Negotiations are on at the moment. You may expect a formal announcement from the producers some time later today.”
