Buzz has it that the team will start shooting in Kolkata from May 20 and will camp there for a month. It is notable that Bong beauty Pratyusha, who hails from Jamshedpur, was a student of St Xavier's College in Kolkata before she got the offer to play Anandi. Speaking of her new role, a source said, "But Pratyusha's character will be very different from what she played earlier. Though she will be essaying the role of a bahu, it is a very cosmopolitan story, unlike Balika Vadhu. Accordingly, her look will be different as well. We'll see her in a lot of Indo-western dresses,"
Producer Siddharth Malhotra, who has given shows like Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, said, "Only Vatsal is confirmed as of yet. Yes, we are coming to Kolkata to shoot for the drama in the first week of June and will be there for almost a month. I haven't even done my recce yet."
Meanwhile, Vatsal, whom we saw in the film Taarzan-The Wonder Car and is shooting for the Salman Khan-starrer Mental at present, said, "Nothing has been finalized as such from my end. I am still talking to the makers. There were some reports recently that I would be playing a lead in this show. After that, I've started getting a lot of offers and am considering some of them. I can't say more on this as I am superstitious about discussing a project before it has actually taken off."
Now it has to be seen if the former Anandi will win hearts as the Bengali bahu!
