Indian audiences take time to accept changes, feels Esha Kansara!
Esha Kansara, who won all hearts playing Devki in Colors’ Mukti Bandhan is all set to return to small screen with Star Plus' Meri Bhabhi.

The actress, who will be seen playing one of the protagonists, feels Indian TV audiences relate to lot of drama and as Mukti Bandhan boasted off a different content, it failed to appeal to them.

"I was disappointed when Mukti Bandhan suddenly went off-air. I think unfortunately, the Indian TV audiences are not used to watching shows like Mukti Bandhan and they can’t relate to such shows. They prefer watching shows which has rural background and has a lot of drama. Whereas, Mukti Bandhan had its share of drama but it had a story which was about a business family and was made with a business point of view. Also the TV watching population is mostly from rural part of India. So, in spite of getting positive feedback, Mukti Bandhan failed to run for a long time on TV," said Esha.

She however agreed that people in town are willing to experiment but the acceptance stands as a hindrance. Esha added, "It's not that the audience is not ready for change or experiment. They are excepting shows with different concept but it is taking a lot of time. There have been a lot of shows with different storylines and they have done well but for that the producers will have to take risks”.

Hope your current show finds some audience!
