Ismail Darbar will compose the music of Mahabharata!

It has been said a number of times that small screen is no smaller anymore with the kind of approach it today has for the shows and actors. Film promotions have so far been the most successful on TV and which is why even the bigwigs of Bollywood don’t shy away from using TV as the means for it.

Work wise too; TV has seen immense growth as shows these days are made on large scales. Sony TV’s Maharana Pratap, Zee’s soon to be aired Jodha Akbar, Life OK’s Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saraswatichandra; all have some big names linked with them.

And the latest to join is Star Plus' upcoming show; Mahabharata, which is ensuring they have all the big names to reckon with as part of their team. Buzz has it that the music for this epic will be composed by the very eminent and enormously talented - Ismail Darbar.

"Yes we are talking to Ismailji and he will be composing the title track. He is a great composer and we are thrilled to be able to work with him," informed a source associated with the show.

The magnum opus show is presently under pre-production with only the teaser promos being released so far!
