But as per the latest updates, the show is likely to end in next three to four months. The news was confirmed by none other than Ajit Thakur, General Manager of Life OK. He said, “Amrit Manthan has reached its logical conclusion. We don’t know how long it will last. I don’t see it running more than the next 3-4 months. Anyways, we never run shows for 3 to 4 years. And this property has aired for a year, so it’s good enough.” He was speaking at the launch of new show, The Bachelorette India-Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika, that marks Mallika Sherawat’s debut on small screen.
Adaa Khan aka Amrit says the show had lost its grip when it was shifted to the 7.30 pm slot to accommodate new show Savitri. She added, “We have got an extension of 4 months. There was a constant buzz that the show will go off right now due to low numbers hence the news of extension is good. And if what you are saying is correct then I guess we will finish our journey then. It is always tough to perform at the 7.30 pm slot on Life OK.”
While on the others side, producer Rajan Shahi said, “He knows the best. But officially I have been told by Mr. Ajit Thakur that they see AM (Amrit Manthan) as a major player in the coming months and have full faith in the show and have told personally they have no plans to shut it down.”
