He will star opposite TV actress Suvreen Chawla, who was seen in daily soaps like Kahin To Hoga, Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Kaajjal. The film is currently being shot in Mumbai and reportedly both the actors are undergoing scuba diving training session for a sequence.
According to reports, scuba diving was the first experience for both actors. Jay was comfortable enough to stay in the water for 3 minutes at a stretch without air. “This was my first scuba diving experience. In the film, I will have to remain underwater for sometime without any gadget, so I tried to train without a cylinder at a certain depth,” said Jay, who is acclaimed for hosting Dance India Dance. Jay along with wife Mahhi recently won Nach Baliye season 5.
Scuba diving instructor Anees Adenwala, who has also trained actors like Ridhi Dogra and Yash Pandit for Savitri recently, said, "Jay was comfortable finally after the daylong session, but Suvreen was a little stiff, so closer to the shooting date, we will have one more session.” The shoot for the scene will take place next month in Mumbai.
Directed by Vivek Agnihotri and produced by Vikram Bhatt, Hate Story starred Paoli Dam, Gulshan Devaiya and Nikhil Dwivedi in the lead.
