It was reported sometime back that Zee TV’s Hitler Didi, which has not been getting good numbers from the recent past, is all set to attempt the tested formula of taking a leap.
The show will take a giant leap post which one will see a new storyline with new generation. Apparently, this decision by the makers has come as a shock for the existing cast. It is to note that coming of a leap calls for actors donning older look. As of now nobody is willing to play aged characters. They have even threatened to quit the telly show in case of a leap.
As per one of the actors of the show, "They plan to take a leap of 18 years on May 18 — the last day of IPL. But the producer has been forced to reconsider her decision because of pressure from the actors. The show's future has been uncertain for long — owing to the drop in its ratings — but it survives each time by sheer luck.
We took a leap of eight years sometime back and this leap would require us to age further. Actors Smita Singh, Sandeep Baswana and Rituraj Singh have already informed the production house of their decision to quit the show post another leap." Rati Pandey, the protagonist of the show, said, "Nothing is confirmed and it's too early to comment."
