It was brought into the notice of all that the makers of Lapataganj, Garima Productions, are planning to come up with Lapataganj season 2 and their current ongoing show Hum Aapke Hai in Laws will be pulled off in case it fails to garner the required numbers.
As per the reports, SAB TV placed Hum Aapke Hai In Laws under scanner for few weeks and now it has decided to shut it down and replace it with Lapataganj season 2. As per a source, "Hum Aapke Hai will wrap up its shoot most probably by 10 to 15 days from now as Lapataganj team will start its shoot from first week of May. Apparently, Lapataganj will finally take Hum Aapke slot sometimes in May."
On being contacted, Pooja Pihal, who essays the lead in Hum Aapke Hai In Laws said, "We are not officially informed about the show going off air so we are not aware about any such development." She also added, "I don't think the show will be pulled so early."
The show has Zee TV’s Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli fame Karan V Grover playing the male lead, Gulshan. It was for the first time that both Karan and Pooja (last seen in Star Plus’ Ek Doosre Se Karte Hain Pyar Hum) were dabbling at comedy.
Well, this is indeed sad!
