After acting and hosting, TV actress Manasi Parekh Gohil, who happens to be a trained vocalist, is launching her first music video.
Her former experience in music includes winning a singing reality Zee TV’s Star Ya Rockstar and a performance in an international musical. Her latest venture is thumri, from the Hindustani classical tradition, fused with electronica.
An excited Manasi said, "I thought about collaborating with another singer, Jahnvi Srimankar, because the idea of a girl duo is exciting and new. The video helps me combine both my passions — music and acting."
For those unaware, Manasi has done several commercials and she first debuted on TV with Star Plus’ Gulaal. Though the show saw an early closure but Manasi got noted for her act and even won attention from all. Later she participated in Star Ya Rockstar, a celebrity music reality show along with the likes of Sumeet Raghvan, Sachin, Ragini Khanna and others.
