Always seen in very simple and next-to-door guy looks, Jay Soni is currently been praised by his friends and fans for donning smart appearance in Colors’ family show Sanskaar- Dharohaar Apno Ki, produced by Anahita/ Cinemantra Productions.
Jay is excited and is considering these admirations as a welcome change. “My friends from the industry have been calling up to tell me that they never thought I could look handsome on-screen. My previous characters had always been very simple, but this role gives me the room to experiment. Hence, I wear what looks good on me,” says Jay, who was last seen in Sasural Genda Phool in plain looks of Ishaan’s character.
He further added that he has also been admired for his acting, “I always make it a point not to act on screen, and probably that’s what the audiences like. I have this habit of asking my director if I was acting after every scene and if he says ‘no’, I know I was good.”
Very particular about his performance, Jay added, “I am a perfectionist and I like to give my best shot when it comes to work. In fact even at The Twelfth Indian Telly Awards I just got one day to rehearse and I still performed. I had a car act and it went well. It’s just that I like pushing the limits.”
