Karan V. Grover wants a movie on fictional detective Byomkesh Bakshi!

Television actor Karan V Grover, who is a qualified chemical engineer by education, says Indian filmmaker should make films on our own hero Byomkesh Bakshi. He feels they should attempt a technologically sound movie on fictional detective Byomkesh Bakshi's exploits.

Byomkesh Bakshi is a fictional detective in Bengali literature created by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. He is one of the most successful detective characters in Bengali literature. It was adapted into a TV series in 1993 by director Basu Chatterjee with Rajit Kapur playing the title role. The series reportedly had 33 episodes.

Karan, who used to watch detective shows like Byomkesh Bakshi and Karamchand as a child, wants to see a big screen version made with the latest technology. “We should make Byomkesh Bakshi like Sherlock Holmes with full technology, gadgets, women and cars and call him B. I don't mind making Superman. Superman is my favourite character. The theory of the film is just amazing because unlike other superheroes, Superman was born as Superman,” says Karan who is currently seen in comedy show Hum Aapke Hain In Laws.

Karan will also be sees in the sequel of Zee TV’s popular show Punar Vivah.
