I love acting and I don't mind playing mature roles, says Avika Gor!
Young actor Avika Gor has the credit of being the youngest bahu on small screen having played the childhood of grown up Anandi in the very popular Colors’ Balika Vadhu. Avika is hardly 15 years old but she has wonderfully played an 18-year-old married woman Roli in Sasural Simar Ka.

Interestingly, Avika finds no issues in playing the role. It is notable that the Avika’s claim to fame was Balika Vadhu, however, the 20-year-leap apparently demanded her exit and this was when Pratyusha Banerjee took the reign form her. But soon Avika got the role of Simar’s (Deepika Samson) sister in Sasural Simar Ka.

The many creative changes then further led to Avika playing a mature part in it. Speaking of the same, she says, "The things that you like are not difficult for you. I love acting and I don't mind playing mature roles. I want to follow the footsteps of actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Vidya Balan."

Avika was 10 years old when she worked in Balika Vadhu, so playing an eight-year-old in it was not tough for her. "I was happy to get the role of Anandi. I was 10 years old then and I had to play the role of an eight-year-old. It was easy for me because I have been through that age," she said.

"When I got the role of Roli, it was a challenge as I had to play an 18-year-old mature girl. In Balika Vadhu, I had to speak in Rajasthani language, but in Sasural Simar Ka Roli was a typical Delhi girl, so I had to speak Hindi," she added.

As of now, in Sasural Simar Ka, Roli has been killed but Avika has returned to the show as Jhumki, a banjaran girl, and it posed a new challenge for the actress. "I am dancing on Hema Malini's song Jab tak hai jaan, so I had to watch that song," she said.

She sure loves challenges!
