I want to play a vamp an out and out negative character someday, says Smita Bansal!

Actress Smita Bansal so far has been essaying important roles in television shows from the last 13 years and her famous shows include Amanat, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Koi Apna Sa, Sanjeevani and the current one being Colors’ Balika Vadhu.

Though she has always played the positive soul on the screen but she wants to play a vamp someday. As she said, "I want to play a vamp an out and out negative character someday on small screen as I like challenging and surprising myself. As an actor I have tried my best to do variety of roles however now I want to test my capability. I want to experiment and see that if l will be able to pull off a negative character," said Smita, who plays the role of Sumitra, the coy soft-spoken bahu in Balika Vadhu.

Other than daily soaps, she has even taken parts in reality shows. She showed her daring side by taking part in Khatron Ke Khiladi and impressed with her dance moves in Nach Baliye 5.

She says, "People usually associate me with positive roles and they feel that I will not be able to do justice to a negative character so I want to change that perception. When Balika took a generation leap and I was asked to play the role of a mother of 20-22 year old Jagdish (Shashank Vyas) people thought that I won't be able to do but I did it. I have the habit of proving people wrong so I want to prove that I too can play a negative character".
