The show won many accolades for its exclusive storyline that brought to attention, the story of people residing in Lapataganj who led a happy life against all odds. Produced by Garima Productions, Lapataganj with its new season has assured to bring back the much loved Indumati and Mukundi in a lovable avatar! This way viewers will again get to hear the punch words ‘Je baat' and 'Oji'!

Sucheta Khanna who is known for her impactful roles in Anjana Anjani, Yamla Pagla Deewana will take on her character Indumati Lal Gupta in Season 2 as well. Veteran actor Rohitashv Gaur will continue to play the role of the much loved Mukundi Lal Gupta, Indumati's husband. Sucheta said, "I am very happy to be a part of Lapataganj Season 2. My character as Indumati was well appreciated by the audiences and I promise to continue entertaining them with my antics".
