She left a mark in the TV world with her strong acting skills through Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms popular daily soaps like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kkavyanjali, Kayamath, and Kya Dil Mein Hai. As per sources, “Anita has been busy nowadays and today she had gone for a look test too."
When asked what the look test was for, she said, "Yes I had gone for a look test but I cannot reveal for what it was. Maybe when the right time comes I will share it with all."
Her last appearance in a television show was with Star Plus’ miniseries Teri Meri Love Story where she got paired opposite Karan Singh Grover. When quizzed if she will be doing a regular daily television show apart from the comedy show she is currently doing, Anita stated, "Yes, I will be seen in a television daily soap soon. Talks are going on but there is nothing concrete as such for now."
She added, "I am very much enjoying the silent comedy show Gutur Gu season 2, but I wish to be a part of a daily soap as I am missing the romantic sequence, the drama etc."
