It was meeting of Dabanggs at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official residence 7 Race Course Road (RCR) when popular actor Salman Khan called on Prime Minister. It was for the first time that the Bigg Boss 8 anchor met Modi after the latter became India’s 14th Prime Minister. The father-son duo Salim Khan and Salman Khan have been quite vocal about their support for Narendra Modi, irrespective of whichever posts he has held. It is reportedly said that Sallu Bhai has extended the invitation of her sister Arpita’s wedding which will be held later this November.
Salman Khan was in the national capital with Kareena Kapoor Khan for the shoot of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. Directed by Kabir Khan, the film is slated to hit the silver screens next year on the occasion of Eid.
It is well known that the relationship between Salman Khan-family and Narendra Modi have irked many in the past. The prominent leader of Muslims, Asaduddin Owaisi tops the haters list as he even told in a public meeting that people should boycott Salman Khan-starrer ‘Jai Ho’. But this had little impact on the Khan family and they continued with their support.
Salim Khan also launched the Urdu version of Narendra Modi’s personal blog earlier this year. Salman Khan himself has defended Narendra Modi at many occasions; be it flying kite prior to his Jai Horelease or slamming Rahul Kanwal in an interview on Aaj Tak. Modi had also invited both Salim Khan and Salman Khan to attend the historic swearing-in ceremony on May 26.
Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, an initiative of Narendra Modi also saw Salman Khan as one of the 9 nominations. There are numerous occasions of Salman Khan and Narendra Modi sharing a cordial relationship. Despite innumerable attempts of souring the Khan-Modi relationship; the chemistry just seems to click diligently.
