Looks like the generation leap didn’t work out well for Life OK’s one of the most entertaining shows, Amrit Manthan, as the show has been placed down under the scanner by channel after low TRPs.
According to source, the reason of discarding Amrit Manthan might be the upcoming season of IPL. The makers of Life OK, in an attempt to maintain the viewership of the channel during IPL season, are set to launch few new shows. And to locate new shows on the board, they have to pull off their current ongoing show, says source.
And Amrit Manthan has come out as the weakest among other dailies on the TRP board. The show, which has recently undergone a seven years leap in its story line and was in the headlines for change in the time slot and dropping TRPs is now grabbing bigger eyeballs with the news of it going off air. Buzz has that the channel has already put down it under scanner board and it will go off air on 26th of April, 2013.
When source tried to connect with producer Rajan Shahi for the same, he remained unavailable, while Ankita Sharma, who plays Nimrit in the show stated, “Even I have heard about it but nothing is confirmed.”
