I would like to thank the jury of ITA for believing that I deserve this award, says Ali Asgar!
Tears are synonymous to our Hindi daily soaps as no saga stands complete until the leads shed tons of the salty liquid. And as viewers, we apparently have some tough time dealing with this hard hitting emotional atyachar.

The only thing that helps us out here is a dose of laughter. Standup comedy is the perfect solution for it and when we talk of the standup comedians then no one can miss out Ali Asgar. He is one of the finest and talented actors that television industry has today. Ali, who began his career with the TV show Ek Do Teen Chaar, gained immense fame with Balaji Telefilms’ Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki in which he played Kamal.

Ali has even contributed his share in films too. At present, he is seen as Juju in SAB TV’s Jeannie Aur Juju and his performance is being raved about. He even won the Best Actor in a Comic Role Award at the Twelfth Indian Telly Awards. Speaking of the same, he shared, “I am very grateful to God and my father. I want to dedicate this award to them. It’s been four years now that my father is not with me. I think I truly deserve the recognition after being in the industry for 30 years now”.

“As an actor I always wanted to do something different. Yes, until I am not satisfied with my role, how would I be able to convince my fans and viewers? I want to be remembered by the kind of work I do. I am not the person who would like to promote and market himself. In 30 years of my career, I have not made my portfolio because I don’t believe in showoff. I sternly believe that at the end of the day, my work should speak for me,” he added.

He also shared, “I would like to thank the jury of Indian Telly Awards for believing that I deserve this award. Here, I would thank SAB TV and everyone associated with the show for it being so popular with the masses.”

Hope more awards come in your way!
